ANNOUNCEMENT OF THE REPUBLIC (14 July 1958
When people woke up in the morning of 4 July 1958,saw that Iraq Government had been overthrown and President Nuri Said ,royal family and Monarchy regimes politicians were killed by military junta gaining the power in a brutal way with a bloody coup.There were two leader of military junta starting the revolution;General Abdulkerim Kasım and lieutenant Abdusselam Arif.As in the statement made by the revolutions leader on the radio they were accepted one of the three main matters forming Iraq .This situation had pleased the Turks thus active days start for Turk society. Kingdom Era was left behind,famous President Nuri Saids power era ended.Turks believed that a free and democratic system would be set up,so they supported the revolution sincerely.Henceforth Turkish education would start in schools,Student Unities and Unions would be set up.Above all parliamentary system firstly was put in to practice in Iraq,Every kind of people would be represent in parliament.In that term Turk teacher ,doctor,engineer and merchants were preparing for the election and were making festivals sometimes.
Briefly,because of the liberation from monarchical system,there was a great happiness.So social justice and political freedom hopes had started.But,in spite of the whole coming-up efforts made for setting up a new system ended in bloody battle.
