From that date on, the Baburlu domination got weakened gradually and their borders became narrower day by day. In the year of 1760, Alemgir Shah I was killed by his vizier and he was replaced by Shah Alem II. This shah fought with English people that gradually expanded in the country. However, he was defeated in Baksar War in the year of 1764. Then, the English people established dominion in the government and the following rulers remained as English officials in the region.

The English domination was reinforced with the Allahabaf Agreement that was concluded in the year of 1766. Upon this agreement, there were some rebellions and resistance. For example, the "Cavalry Soldiers' Rebellion" arose in the year of 1857. When English people suppressed this rebellion, they annexed the entire India to the English Empire in the year of 1858. The Queen Victoria was officially declared as the Indian Empress in the year of 1877.
