The relatively peaceful years of Pamir Khirghiz people did not last for a long period. The communist activities got much more concentrated in Afghanistan since the year of 1978. Upon this event, Rahmankul Khan decided to immigrate to Pakistan in order to save his people from a new collapse. Therefore, a Khirghiz (Teyit and Kesek) group composed of 1300 people immigrated to Pakistan under the leadership of Rahmankul in the year of 1978 and they were settled in the refugee camps in the city of Gilgit in Pakistan. Despite the positive factors such as the good treatment of the Pakistan State towards the Khirghiz Turks, the justice in the distribution of aids, etc., the high temperatures turned that region into a place where the Khirghiz people could not live. As a matter of fact, the Khirghiz Turks that were used to live in the plateaus with the average height of 3500 meters could not resist this warm temperature and nearly 100 people of them had even died due to the high temperatures. 100 Khirghiz Turks who could not meet their expectations in Gilgit returned to Pamir.
