In 12th century a dense group from Yıva, one of the Oguz Tribe, is known to have lived in the huge area that extends from southern part of the Hemedan to Şehrizar.However, the family of Emir Kıpcak, whose father was the owner of the Şehrizar Religious in 1130, is also understood to be one of Yıva's familiy. The war in 1187, happening around Hemedan, between the last Sultan of Seljuk, Tuğrul Şah and Celaleddin 6. Yunus, vizier of his caliph, we see the Yıvas in the Caliphate Army. At that war, the chief of the Yıvas was the son of Beraem, Mahmud. Beraem who got the Yıvas to appear on political stage was killed by a Batini, so in place of him his son Mahmud Yıvalar became the chief. After Mahmud, Fahreddin İbrahim took over the Yıvas Trive. Şehabettin Süleyman having gotten the place of him is known to be the most popular chief. Before 1213, Süleyman Şah had dismissed from the chairmanship of Yıvas and his younger brother was taken instead.However, wheather he contributed his duty or not is not known. Then appearing on the political stage as the chief of Yıvas, Süleyman Şah related sincerely to the rule of caliph.In 1258 during the Mogol invasions of Bağdat, the chief of the defenders protecting the central of Caliphate was Sülayman Şah. With the defeat of Bağdat, Süleyman Şah died as a martyr together with Caliph and other commanders. He is reported in some documants that he was quıte sophisticated and intereted in the science of stars. It is also understood that the people governed by Süleyman Şah were leading a happy and comfortable life.

After the death of Süleyman Şah, the existence of Yiva is nao known. Nevertheless, Musul-Kerkük Religion where a small number of Yivas were settling during the Mogol invasions is known to be the winter residence of Karakoyunlu Tribe. A tribe relationship between Yivalar and Karakoyunlular, who are known as the first Turcoman clan and became strong force in the area, is claimed after the Mogol's weakness in the administration. It is still hasn't been established which Oguz the Baharlu Tribe, that belonged to Karakoyunlu community was coming from the Castle Bahar in which Süleyman Şah settled, and Karakoyunlular were the new generation of Yivas.
