Ocuslu Tribe has maintained its existence so far.Also known as Oduslu among people, most ocuslus are settling in Kerkük.Today, families relating to this tribe are living in the capital districts of Kerük and Turcman villages located in Kerkük as well.The names of these places are: Sarıtepe, Tirkalan, Tokmakli, and Yaycı.Ceddu Family known in Kerkük is also related to Ocuslular.By the way, the Turk village called Ceddu, belonging to the largest Turkish district Telafer located in western Musul, is possible to have a relation with Ocuslular.Folk stories belonging to them are very coımmon in Kerkük.The mythical consultant of Ocuslular, known as being so kind-hearted, Avvad Koca is so famous.Found in various humorous story, he was in fact a symbolic type of person.Regarding this, part of his nature, Avvad Koca became a symbol of a folkloric person among people.
