Upon his dethronement in the year of 1702, he was again enthroned in the year of 1708 and he succeeded in this purpose of him. He collaborated with the Sweden King, Karl XII and he persuaded the Sublime Ottoman Government for the declaration of war against the tsar. However, he opposed to Baltacı Mehmed Pasha with the allegation that he had missed the opportunity to overwhelm the tsar in Prut (1711).

Bahçesaray was captured and incinerated; and 2.000 houses and the palace of the khans were reduced to ash. Meanwhile, the rich library that had been found by Selim Giray was destroyed. Akmescit that was the centre of Kalgay people suffered from the same fate. The Russians came to the region again under the command of Tascy in the years of 1737 and 1738 and they continued their acts of destruction. In accordance with the Belgrade Pazr (1739), the Russians recaptured the castle of Azov that they had surrendered in Prut war. The Crimean was susceptible to the new invasions under these circumstances. Arslan Giray Khan (1748-1756) paid great attention for the reinforcement of the fortifications that defended the peninsula. The Russian Kazakhs attacked in the year of 1760. The construction of new Russian castles in Kabartay posed a threat for the khanate from that direction. The Russians established dominion in Poland and they followed the Polish Confederated groups that had taken shelter in the city of Balta pertaining to the Crimean khan. Then, they captured and destroyed this city. These reasons caused the declaration of war by the Ottoman ruler.
