Anatolian Seljuks State was founded upon the settlement of a crowded Turkish population in Anatolia within a few years pursuant to the Manzikert victory in 1071. Before the foundation of Seljuks State in Iran, the Turkish raids towards Anatolia that started in the year fo 1016 and lasted until the year of 1040 were composed of geographic expeditions. The holy wars and fights that continued for thirty years since the foundation of the state until the Manzikert victory are of great significance in respect of the eradication of the Byzantine resistance in Anatolia and the establishment of a new homeland in this region. The Manzikert victory dated 26th August 1071 that is one of the greatest turning points of the Turkish and world histories have opened the doors of Anatolia to Turks definitely.
