Instead of Humareveyh, his son Ebu'l-Asakir Ceys who was appointed as the heir apparent in his lifetime was enthroned. However, he was an inexperienced young person at the age of fourteen. He set on motion against the experienced emirs and commanders under the effect of the evil-minded people in his surroundings. This stance led to the shortness of both his ruling period and his lifetime. As a result, he was dismissed and killed by the commanders who had rebelled against him (25th July 896). Instead of Ceys, his brother, Harun who was also an inexperienced and unqualified person was enthroned. The last years of the Tuluni dynasty passed with the impotence in the administration, intrigues and the interventions of Abbasi State in the administration of Egypt that increased gradually. In the year of 899, a new agreement was concluded with the Caliph Mu'tezid.

According to this third agreement, the number of the countries under the dominion of Tuluni State decreased and the tax that they paid to Abbasi State was increased to the amount of 450.000 dinars. On the other hand, the rebellions of Karmati people in Syria had threatened not only Tuluni State but also the Abbasi State. Meanwhile, the Caliph Mu'tezid had died (902) and his son, el-Muktefi was assigned as the caliph. The Caliph Muktefi sent an army under the command of Mohammed b. Suleyman. As a result, the Abbasi army defeated the Karmati people with a great victory (903). Pursuant to this expedition, Mohammed b. Suleyman was assigned as the chief commander of Abbasi armies and he was commissioned with the mission of the resolution of Egypt problem. Mohammed b. Suleyman attacked to Egypt from both the lands and the sea. Meanwhile, Harun was killed due to a reason that was not definitely revealed (31st December 904). His successor was his uncle, Seyban.

Seyban started to organise the Tuluni forces for defence but it was too late. As a result, Mohammed b. Suleyman came up to the borders of Egypt. Seyban accepted the offer for surrender and took shelter in Mohammed b. Suleyman together with his family. Some of the Tuluni army who were not aware of the situations continued to struggle and they lost their lives as a result of their resistance. Afterwards, Mohammed b. Suleyman penetrated into Fustat on the date of 12th January 905. Therefore, the Tuluni State was dissolved and the remaining family members were chained and taken away to Baghdad.
