THE DECLARATION PUBLISHED BY IRAQ KINGDOM

After being a member of National Assembly Iraq Kingdom published a decleration, This declaration,committing and guaranting the existence of Turks and the other minorities,were published by Presedent Nuri Said on behalf of Iraq Kingdom on 30 May 1932 in Baghdad. As stated in decleration’s 1st language,goverment’s dutties would be accepted as Iraq’s Main laws and languages in declaration would be changed with none of the law, regulations According to the declaration,enrollet,to “Middle East NO:127”in English Ministry of Foreign affair’s would have lived without language,belief and racial discirimination.It was stated that citizens would be equal,they would have the same political rights and they would be able to continue their lives and work in puplic services.

The election systen in which all minorities were accepted equal,Turks,Kurds and the other citizens in Iraq could testify in court and open schools in their own language.The considerable part of the population compised of Turks in Kerkük and Kifri,not only Arabic but also Turkish and Kurdish would be official language,civil servant would be elected from the people knowing Turkish and local people.This document was important for Turks in political,cultural and social terms and its copy was in the National Organization Secretaryship’s archives.
