Seljuk Sultan Alp Arslan had passed over the river of Ceyhun with a big army in the year of 1065 and went the long way around the coasts of Aral and Caspian Seas. He arrived into the peninsula of Man-Kıslag that was the homeland of Oguz and the other Turkish tribes. He fulfilled a military expedition against the Oguz, Kipchak and Cazig people who despoiled the surroundings through alliance with the Non-Muslim Turks. He disbanded their army that was composed of thirty thousands of people; and Kaşut, the ruler of Cazig people was subjected to obedience. He went to Cend with the purpose of visiting the grave of his grandfather. Cend Khan received Alp Arslan with a great ceremony.

The city of Cend was the centre where the military expeditions were organised towards the Non-Muslim Turks in the period of Seljuks and even Harezmshahs. Some of Kipchak people immigrated to the west and reached to the Balkans. Those who stayed in the east became Muslims and those who immigrated to the west became Christians. The adoption of Islam by Turks has exhibited significant development in the centuries X and XI. From that date on, the adoption of Islam continued and the entire Turkish world became Muslim in the century XIV. and their superiority was accepted in every field in the Islam world.

While we were trying to explain the adoption of the religion of Islam by Turks, we have stated that only few Turkish countries were under the military dominion of the Islam State. Thus, the rest of the large Turkish groups that lived in those regions adopted the religion of Islam without the military or political dominion. It is rarely observed in the history of the religions that a religion is adopted by a nation in such a short time without any pressure. It should be beneficial to dwell upon the reasons that led the Turks to adopt the religion of Islam without any pressure or oppression.
