The Colors Green-Yellow-Red in Gokturks The finding of corpses dressed in green-yellow and red during the excavation performed in the graves of Turkish chieftains in Altay in 1935 show that these colors have a national importance (Belleten No 43, 1947).
From Abdulcelil El Kazvini
The flag of the Great Seljuk Empire was green-yellow and red. The great Iranian scholar who lived between 1110-1189, Abdulcelil el Kazvini writes the following on page 608 of the book that he wrote upon the matter in 556-560 according to Muslim calendar and 1161-1165 according to worldwide calendar: "If the Moslem sovereigns and sultans of the Seljuks bring together hundred thousand soldiers, the soldiers did not carry the black flag, they carried green, yellow and red flag".
