Return to Homeland The Crimeans that were exiled from the Crimea are still returning to their lands. The number of the Crimean Turks who had returned to their homelands has reached to the number of 300 thousands. Particularly the Crimean Turks who live in Uzbekistan desire to return to their homeland. Nevertheless, the Uzbekistan government does not give any permission for this return and there are great difficulties imposed by them.

Economy

The most significant economical element of the Crimea is tourism. In this country, there are lots of resorts, and places of tourism that are well known all over the world. The generation of electricity, iron production, manufacture of machines, and the chemical industry take an important place in the industry. In the sector of agriculture, the viniculture and the stockbreeding are attached great importance.

Relations with Turkey

1000 (a thousand) housing project initiated by Turkey has provided an important opportunity for the Crimean Turks who returned to their homelands without any house or family. Nearly 300 housings of these residences were delivered; and the construction of the residual houses are still continued. The facilities such as the kindergartens, primary schools, hospitals, etc. donated by the Turkish corporations led the Crimea to return into a centre of population and homeland for the Crimean Turks.
